As One™, DeepDive™ y Penta™

Como ya les comenté en este blog, PENTA es nuestra metodología de Desarrollo Competitivo y Alineamiento Estratégico con la cual trabajamos en Deloitte para ayudar a las organizaciones privadas, públicas y del sector social a implementar sus requerimientos de Innovación y Crecimiento. El objetivo es crear valor. Siempre. Valor económico. Valor social. Valor ambiental. Valor público.

En la reunión de Orlando de la semana pasada tuve el enorme privilegio de compartir un encuentro de profesionales de Deloitte de muchos lugares del mundo dedicados a la especialidad de Estrategia y Operaciones (Strategy & Operations).

En uno de los momentos que voy a recordar para siempre como uno de los hitos importantísimos de mi vida, tres expertos internacionales de nuestra firma, Jeff Watts, Steve Langton y Miel Johnson, consideraron que el modelo PENTA es un instrumento técnico apropiado para ligar dos tecnologías de Deloitte que han resultado de alto impacto para ayudar a nuestros clientes de todo el mundo en sus constantes esfuerzos por crear valor.

Estas dos tecnologías son “As One”, el proceso de transformar la acción individual en poder colectivo y “DeepDive” el proceso de generar grupalmente iniciativas de innovaciones incrementales, radicales y disruptivas.

En próximas notas de este blog les voy a contar con más detalle en qué consisten As One y DeepDive. Por ahora les mando un adelanto en ingles para no cambiar el significado.

Deloitte has invested in a major global initiative to study the way people interact in large organizations: the As One Flagship Project. This project has created a comprehensive way to understand the degree of organizational alignment required to execute strategy. As Deloitte CEO Jim Quigley explains, “Successful collective behavior requires individuals to see themselves as one group, to commit to a common purpose or set of goals, and to have a similar understanding of how
they are to work together.”

What is DeepDive?

The DeepDive™ is a combination of brainstorming, prototyping and feedback loops merged into an approach that executives can use with teams to help develop solutions for specific business challenges. The DeepDive™ can be done in as little as half a day, or to help achieve results over a longer period.

The DeepDiveTM consists of a professionally produced team toolkit, including facilitators’ guides, participants’ guides, wall-charts, quick-reference cards, PowerPoint templates and DVDs — everything required to facilitate the DeepDive™ methodology.

DeepDive™ has been utilized to tackle such challenges as:

– Helping a fast-moving consumer goods company develop prototypes for the 11 growth opportunities identified by the senior management team.

– Aiding a leading airline in its design of a better passenger experience in the airport prior to boarding.

– Facilitating a leading packaging company in its efforts to have the top 36 managers articulate their corporate strategy on process orientation.

– Helping a food company develop two new concepts to substantially increase revenue from “product x” with children, ages five to seven and their grandparent.
